The holiday season is often referred to as “the most wonderful time of the year”; it’s a time for togetherness, celebration, and love. However, this year, for many individuals, the holiday season may look different. 

We know the impact that COVID-19 has had on businesses, families, and individuals. For this reason, we believe - now more than ever - it’s important to find ways to give back. Giving back to your community, even if it’s just in a small way, will not only positively impact those around you, it will positively impact yourself, as well.

For many, the Fourth of July is a fun, summer holiday complete with cookouts, family, friends, and ceremonial fireworks. For others, including senior veterans, it can be a stressful day full of difficult memories or triggering noises. While the Fourth of July is meant to be a carefree day to celebrate our independence, it’s important to keep in mind the unique needs of veterans on this day. After all, our veterans are the heroes who have helped make this freedom possible.

If your parent or loved one lives in a different state, it can be difficult for them to connect with family as you likely do not see each other often. If you’re unable to spend the holiday season together, it can be even tougher on you and your loved one. While being apart for the holidays can be difficult, there are plenty of gifts for seniors that can help them stay connected with family!
