About River Oaks Place
River Oaks Place was originally constructed in 1939 as the Loudon County Hospital and named after the legendary Loudon businessman and philanthropist, Col. Charles H. Bacon. We purchased the three story brick building and have totally renovated the property with 40 suites. The lower floor is Assisted Living with two floors designed and renovated as a secure, assisted living environment for memory-impaired residents. Our signature theme of providing caring family-like atmosphere in a comfortable, dignified, yet cozy setting is very evident here. The six acre wooded hilltop location offers wide, open views of the countryside and nearby Tennessee River, yet is only a few blocks down Grove Street from banking, cafes, the Loudon County Courthouse and historic district, and the new riverfront Loudon County Senior Center.
About Lakewood Place
Lakewood Place, located next door to River Oaks Place, has 34 spacious assisted living suites. A wellness center and on-site physical therapist help our residents maintain their independence and health. The expansive common areas, dining room, and sun rooms are complemented by private suites. Lakewood Place offers patios, gardens, and a level of interior finish of the highest quality. Daily activities include an art studio, media theater, classroom, wellness/exercise center, beauty salon, billiards room, coffee/ice cream bar and enough lounge space to make you feel like you are in a fine old hotel or country club. As amazing as this wonderful facility is, it is our dedication to serving our residents that sets us apart.
