Northshore Senior Living recently hosted local celebrities and the Knoxville, Tennessee community at the Northshore Open event. The fundraising event was held on March 23rd to benefit Alzheimer's Tennessee. It brought together community members to celebrate the Northshore Senior Living community and Alzheimer's Tennessee's Memory Links Golf Classic, which took place on Monday, May 15th at Gettysvue Country Club.
Northshore Open Activities
Event attendees participated in a variety of activities. The main event consisted of a 9 hole round of mini golf at the Northshore community's "unique" mini golf course. Most noteworthy, local Knoxville celebrities such as former Vols, David Martin and Derrick Furlow, Erik Ainge with Sports Radio WNML, Pat Ryan, Missy Kane Covenant Fit & Fun, Whitney Kent with Local 8 News, Michelle Silva with B97.5, and AJ Johnson were on hand coaching participants to the finish line. In addition, guests competed in special events, including a putting contest, for a variety of prizes.
After their round of golf, attendees enjoyed the Northshore community amenities, and free food and drinks. Additionally, attendees interested in competing in the Memory Links Classic were able to complete early-bird registration for the tournament.
A Huge Success
In conclusion, the event was a huge success. The Northshore Open promoted Alzheimer's Tennessee and invited community members to see the beautiful new senior living community. Most significantly, community members showed their support for local families living with Alzheimer’s and other dementia-related illnesses.
